Educated to Lead. Inspired to Achieve.

About the President's Summer Alumni Retreat

The President’s Summer Alumni Retreat is designed to allow you to re-live the best of your Westminster experience.  For three days, you will reengage with our faculty, learn about topics of critical importance to our world today, and enjoy life both on-campus and within the Fulton community. We expect you to leave with the reaffirmation that your private, liberal arts education was not only transformational for you, but continues to be highly relevant in the 21st century.  Through a discussions with inspiring, thought-provoking speakers, including our own faculty, you will experience the best of what a college like Westminster has to offer and walk away both personally and professionally transformed by the experience.

Our mission statement begins with our commitment “to educate and inspire.” Building on that promise, each day features key lectures that will open our minds to a deeper understanding of the past and to a vision for the future.  Speakers have been chosen for their knowledge of critical aspects of history, politics, business, or the arts, and we know they will inspire you to think in new ways.

At the same time, we believe in building on the liberal arts by putting knowledge into action, leading to “live of success, significance, and service.” Therefore, a series of breakout sessions will be conducted in the style of a typical Westminster class, geared toward taking the great ideas presented by the speakers and putting them into practice.

The weekend will give you opportunities to hone your critical thinking skills and will offer practical ways to use what you have learned. The weekend will prepare you for even greater success going forward.

Thanks to a gift from an alumnus who wishes to encourage more alumni to attend this great event, the cost of attendance is only $150 and includes lodging in a residence hall on campus, plus all events and food during the weekend.
