Biography:Jackie Weber arrived at Westminster in the summer of 2006, serving as the Director of Student Activities in the Center for Leadership and Service. In June of 2008, she transitioned to the role of Director of Residential & Greek Life (RGL). In this role, she directly supervises the operations of Westminster's residential housing facilities and campus policies, as well as the College's nine Greek letter organizations. The office of RGL coordinates the recruitment, hiring and training of 21 student staff members, as well as the room assignment and housing selection process for all Westminster students. As Greek advisor, Weber also works with Westminster's 450+ Greek students to improve chapter leadership, intra-Greek relations, recruitment, and education for the entire Greek community. She has also taught a few college course in the areas of Leadership, and Women/Gender Studies.
Professionally, Weber serves the Missouri College Personnel Association (MoCPA) as the association secretary, and has been a member of the MoCPA annual conference planning committee. She also stays involved with the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), having served as a member of the National Volunteer Development Team; a graduate student intern mentor for the National convention; an educational session presenter and co-author of an article Campus Programming magazine; and the former Cooperative Buyer/Block Booking Coordinator for the Northern Plains region. She is also a member of both ACPA and NASPA, two International organizations for student affairs professionals. In 2008, she received a scholarship from NACA to attend the ACPA Mid-Level Management Institute in Louisville, KY.
Prior to coming to Westminster, Weber had served as the Assistant Dean of Campus Life and a Residence Hall Director at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this role, she worked with Coe's programming board, 50+ campus organizations, six Greek organizations, and two different single gender residence halls (175 women for two years, 200 men for the final two). She came to Coe in 2002, after graduating from Iowa State University with a M.Ed in Higher Education/Student Affairs. Weber is also an alumna of Coe College, former Student Body President and a two-sport student athlete. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in English in 2000.
When she's not busy working with college students, she likes to have a little fun of her own. Weber enjoys participating in a variety of sports, reading, attending athletic events or concerts, spending time with her two nephews, and hanging out on her family's farm in SE Iowa. Most of all, she enjoys NASCAR...attending races in person and watching them from the comfort of her own living room.
