We have studied some interesting women throughout the semester--Lucretia, the Sabine Women, Cornelia, Porcia, Fulvia, Cleopatra, Clodia, Octavia, and Turia, among others. In your essay, using one or more of the values of the mos maiorum, compare and contrast Clodia and Fulvia--two women who tended to shock most Romans (or at least those who wrote about them) by the things they did.

1. Some have suggested that Virgil patterned the character of Turnus on that of Mark Antony. Discuss based on the description of Mark Antony in Kebric, Chapter 4 and the selections we have read from the Aeneid.
2. Examine one or two characters in the second half of Virgil's Aeneid with regard to one or more of the virtues of the mos maiorum.
