    1. Paying close attention to the text of Trzaskoma's translation of the Homeric Hymn to Demeter (pp. 169-178), determine and demonstrate three societal norms that the myth affirms (for the culture the myth is from). Note: use only the hymn as your evidence.

    2. From a close, detailed reading of Trzaskoma's translation of the Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite (pp. 197-202) what overall picture emerges (examining both references to deities and humans, but focusing only on gender) of either Greek males and/or Greek females?
