Write on one of the topics below:

1) Paying close attention to the text of the Homeric Hymn to Hermes (Powell, 189-199), determine and demonstrate three ancient Greek societal norms that the myth affirms. Note: use only the Hymn as evidence.

2) Examine the male/female interactions and/or roles in society as evidenced in the following myths 1) Aphrodite & Pygmalion, 2) Artemis & Actaeon, and 3) Athena & Arachne. Use only the selections from Ovid's Metamorphoses that are given in Powell's text for the three myths.
