Write on one of the following topics:
- We recently covered in class several ways that the Greeks "reinterpreted" their own myths. What would Euhemerus do with the myth, "A Taste of Earth" (Leonard & McClure, 147-154)? Add a paragraph at the end evaluating how well Euhemerus' approach worked.
- Paying close attention to the text of the "White Buffalo Calf Woman" myth (Leonard & McClure, 134-137), determine and demonstrate three Lakota societal norms that the myth affirms.
- Examine the male/female interactions and/or roles in society as evidenced "The Fire Goddess" (Leonard & McClure, 124-132).
