- you must have in-text citations for your sources of information (facts, theories, parts of myths, etc.)
- every main body paragraph should have in-text citations (you want at least 2 good examples with citations per paragraph)
- mention that you are using Homer's Odyssey in your introductory paragraph, then give book #, line #s, and page #. E.g. "But I went up to Kirkē's very beautiful bed" (10.449, 578).

- Xenia: Examine Kirkē's (Circe's) interactions with Odysseus and his crew with regard to the custom of xenia in the passage from book 10 of the Odyssey on pp 570–578 in Maurizio. FYI: You must use the definition of xenia provided on a pdf in Moodle.
- Women: What does Homer's descriptions of Kirkē (i.e. Circe), Klytaimnestra (i.e. Clytemnestra), and Penelope on pp 570–580 tell us about the Greek view of women?
