- you must have in-text citations for your sources of information (facts, theories, parts of myths, etc.)
- every main body paragraph should have in-text citations (you want at least 2 good examples with citations per paragraph)
- In your introduction mention the ancient Greek source you are going to exam — the Hymn 4: To Hermes or Euripides' Bacchae — and then don't mention it again.
- In your main body, when referring to the Hymn or Euripides' Bacchae, just give the line number(s), e.g. (283–285)

Write on one of the following topics:
- Liminality: Examine Hymn 4: To Hermes, pp 296–309, with regard to the Turner's ideas (see pp 411–413). Either in your introduction or in the main body of your essay, detail what Turner's ideas are.
- Tricksters: Examine the passage from Euripides' Bacchae, pp 401–411, with regard to trickster criteria set forth on pp 310–311. Make sure you specify which criteria you are using.
