Guide to the New Student Checklist

What is the New Student Checklist? Why is it important to fill it out? Below is a detailed description of the checklist and why we are asking you to complete it.

  • Select the date to attend SOAR (Summer Orientation, Advising, and Registration) - First year students only

Friday, June 9, 2017 or Monday, June 12, 2017

  • Choose your Westminster Seminar Class - First year students only

Please choose 5 seminars that sound interesting to you. You will be placed into one of your choices.

What is Westminster Seminar?

  • Complete Language Placement test

All students must complete the Foreign Language placement test.

  • Housing Form

Completed by all students to confirm if you plan to live on campus or commute.

  • Parking

Completed by all students to confirm if you will have a car on campus or not.

  • Health Forms

Health forms will need to be downloaded to be filled it out. Once it’s filled out then make sure you sign it and then scan and attach it to the Health Form checklist. You can also fax the form and/or your immunization records to the Wellness Center at 573-592-5180.*

*The Health Forms and Immunization Records must be received by the first day of classes.

  • Insurance Opt Out (COMING SOON!)

Westminster requires all students to have Health Insurance. If you have health insurance, you must complete Insurance Opt Out. If you don’t have health insurance, don’t worry, you don’t have to do anything. Westminster will purchase a health insurance plan for students who haven’t completed the Opted Out process by August 30, 2017 and the cost will be added to the student’s bill.

  • FERPA

Once school starts, Westminster can’t speak to anyone except the student about finances, billing, and grades unless the student gives Westminster permission. The only way we can get that permission is through the FERPA form.

Westminster wants to keep in touch with you and your family once classes start. Please make sure we have your most update personal and parent information.

Additional New Student Checklist items

  • Final High School Transcripts

All students must submit their Final High School transcripts to the Office of Admissions prior to the first day of classes.

  • College Transcripts - Transfer Students only

All Official College Transcripts must be submitted to the Office of Admissions prior to the first day of classes. This includes Official Transcripts from all colleges attended.

  • Dual Credit and/or AP Test scores

Students who took Dual Credit courses while in high school must submit Official College Transcripts to the Office of Admissions prior to the first day of classes. Transcripts are needed from all Colleges where college credit was received.

Students who took AP exams must send scores directly to the Office of Admissions from the College Board to have AP exam scores considered for credit.
